NFL begins two days of safety meetings Tuesday

The league begins two days of safety meetings at NFL headquarters in New York on Tuesday. Troy Vincent, the league’s executive vice president of football operations, tweeted that the meeting will include coaches, owners, officials AFL Cheap Jerseys and former NFL players.

To borrow a line from one of the very best episodes of The Office, the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady seem to be playing their own separate game and it’s called, “Let’s see how uncomfortable we can make our fans.” And they’re both winning.

Brady suppled the latest salvo in the cold war on Monday night. Via Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston, Brady appeared at the Milken Institute Global Conference on Monday, and he was asked the following question by (who else?) Jim Gray: “Do you feel appreciated by them and do they have appropriate gratitude for what you have achieved?”

Brady then turned to the crowd and slowly delivered an obviously premeditated response.

Butler played one snap on special teams and none on defense as Nick Foles shredded the Patriots’ secondary in a 41-33 Eagles’ victory.

“I’ll say this: For a team, this side of the room is the offense and this side is the defense,” Brady said. “We don’t interfere with them much. I didn’t know. Malcolm kept coming over to me during the game and was like ‘Come on, TB, let’s go!’ And I kept going, ‘What defense are we in where Malcolm’s not on the field?’ Is it short-yardage, goal line?

“And then after the game, I found out. So I just didn’t know. And I asked Malcolm, and Malcolm said, ‘I don’t know. Coach has just decided something different.’ I said, ‘OK.’ So I don’t know what was a part of that decision-making, but I know we were trying to win the game. I don’t think we were trying to do Best Quality Cheap Jerseys anything but win.”

Reggie Wayne picks a QB other than Luck or Manning as hardest passer

Congratulations are in order for Curtis Painter. On Tuesday, Reggie Wayne gave him an unofficial award that pertains to playing quarterback.

When Wayne was asked about who threw the hardest passes, he didn't name Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning (before his arm stopped functioning like a normal arm last year). He also didn't name Tom Brady, who threw to Wayne this past summer during Patriots training camp. Instead, Wayne chose Curtis Painter.

It's 2016, and we're talking about Curtis Painter.
