Randall Cunningham was arguably the most exciting player to ever wear an Eagles uniform, and that uniform is one of the most popular sellers in the country.
Tebow’s Eagles jersey was the 16th highest selling NFL jersey in the league during the month of June.
More Tebow jerseys sold than any other back up quarterback and more than a good amount of starting quarterbacks as well. The only signal callers to move more jerseys than Tebow were Marcus Mariota, Tom Brady, Colin Kaepernick, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck and Derek Carr.
Clearly Tebow beat out his fellow Eagles quarterbacks in Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley and it still remains to be seen whether he’ll beat one of them out to earn a roster spot.
Tebow wasn’t the only Eagles player flying high on the sales list. The team’s new running back DeMarco Murray topped the running backs list as he beat out Marshawn Lynch, Melvin Gordon, LeSean McCoy and Jamaal Charles.
Murray ranked 9th in sales among all players.
“We think orange brings more energy and vibrancy to the logo. It’s also a hint of what’s to come with the new uniforms,” Scheiner told Cleveland.com.
On the other hand, these might not be the new jerseys at all.
So did they leak? Whitner only added to the confusion Friday when he sent out the tweet below.
